When I published a 3000+ article on the Funnel Engine site The Ultimate Sales Funnel Guide (designed to teach internet marketers what they need to do to get their first sales funnel going in Clickfunnels), I used the skyscraper technique.
This is where you look at what content has attracted a lot of links, then creating something even better and reaching out to those who linked to existing pieces to get a mention to your post.
Successful content outreach, just like successful businesses, starts and ends with knowing your audience and where they hang out. Russell Brunson talks about the concept of your Dream 100 clients which is about identifying who the top 100 people are who have the largest audiences filled with your prospects.

To get to the top 100 we need to use some of the excellent filters shown below:
I first selected a page rank of at least 3 which reduced the results to 614 (if we’re going to reach out and ask for a link it may as well be a decent one). I then selected a domain authority of at least 30 which pushed it further down to 325. I finally selected a minimum twitter followers of 3000 and I got to 109. I then went through and manually deleted ones that were less relevant to get to my Dream 100:

Ok now we have our Top 100 we need to start reaching out to them. First up in Ninja Outreach we need to save the prospects to a list:
Then (after connecting our gmail) we head on over to the ‘Outreach Mode’, select the content promotion template and start emailing out highly personalized emails:
At this stage it’s as simple as hitting ‘Send Email’ and moving on to the next prospect.
And if the platform does not have an email associated with an influencer it has a great email finder feature where you put in the domain name and name of the person and it will find the best variation:
