Leadpages vs ClickFunnels in 2026: what I’d use now

Short answer: Leadpages is for single landing pages. ClickFunnels is for whole funnels: opt-in, sales page, checkout, upsell. I built a done-for-you funnel business on ClickFunnels, so I know it well. In 2026, though, I build most pages with AI coding tools, and I’d only pay for either if I needed someone non-technical to edit pages without help.
When I chose ClickFunnels
At FunnelEngine I built funnels for customers: opt-in, payment through Stripe, then upsells. ClickFunnels did all of that in one tool, so it won over Leadpages, which was only the page.
What’s changed
Coding tools like Claude Code now build a fast, custom landing page in an afternoon, with the checkout wired in. The sites for BidPadel, Snowbistro and Cited were built that way. No monthly page-builder bill and nothing locked to a platform.
When each still makes sense
- Leadpages: you need simple landing pages, edited by someone non-technical.
- ClickFunnels: you sell courses or info products and want funnels, checkout and email in one place.
- Neither: you, or an AI coding tool, can build the page and you’d rather own the code.
