Who is responsible
Richard Patey is a self-employed operator. Correspondence address: Bishopbrook House, Cathedral Ave, Wells BA5 1FD, United Kingdom. Email: richard@richardpatey.com. I am the controller of personal information used to run richardpatey.com and to handle payments made to me directly.
What this site collects
This page has no forms, no analytics and no advertising tags, and it sets no cookies.
Netlify hosts the site. It processes technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and request logs to deliver and secure the site.
The fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser sends a request to Google, including your IP address, when the page loads.
If you email me, I use your address and message to reply and keep the correspondence for as long as it is needed.
Payments
If you pay me through Stripe, I keep the amount, what it was for, the payment status, timestamps and Stripe transaction identifiers. I use these to deliver what you paid for, reconcile payments and handle disputes. The bases are performance of our contract and compliance with accounting obligations.
Stripe collects your payment and billing details directly. I never receive or store your full card number or security code. Stripe may act as an independent controller for its own regulatory and fraud-prevention purposes.
My other sites
Each of my businesses has its own privacy policy covering what it collects: BidPadel, BidUpSki and Peak English.
Providers and international processing
Netlify (hosting), Stripe (payments) and Google (fonts) may process information outside your country, including in the United States, under their contractual safeguards. Contact me for details of the safeguards relevant to your data. I may disclose information to advisers or authorities where the law requires it. I do not sell personal information.
See Netlify's privacy notice, Stripe's privacy notice and Google's privacy policy.
How long I keep information
Correspondence is kept while it is needed. Transaction records are kept for as long as tax, accounting and legal requirements say. Hosting logs follow Netlify's own retention.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you can ask for access to, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights have exceptions, including records I must keep by law. Email me to make a request; I may need to verify your identity. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or your local data protection authority.
Updates
I will update this notice when my practices change and show the revision date here.
