The biggest UK ski tour operators by search traffic (2026 data)

By Richard Patey. Last updated 29 October 2026.

Short answer: By estimated organic search traffic, the biggest UK ski tour operator is Crystal Ski (TUI) at about 234,900 visits a month, followed by Scott Dunn (158,400) and Inghams (89,800). The top ten is rounded out by Neilson, Club Med, Iglu Ski, Sunweb, Heidi, Ski Club Freshtracks and Ski Solutions.

The data comes from Snowbistro’s comparison of 50 UK ski operators, which I built. Search figures are Ahrefs estimates checked on 5 October 2026.

The top ten

# Operator Est. search visits a month
1 Crystal Ski (TUI) 234,900
2 Scott Dunn 158,400
3 Inghams 89,800
4 Neilson 59,800
5 Club Med 57,900
6 Iglu Ski 57,900
7 Sunweb 51,800
8 Heidi 51,400
9 Ski Club Freshtracks 47,900
10 Ski Solutions 24,100

Search traffic measures demand, not quality. A big number means a lot of people look for that operator, not that it’s the best holiday.

Three things the data shows

1. The top is very concentrated. Crystal gets nearly ten times the search traffic of Ski Solutions in tenth place. The top three take 58% of the top ten’s combined traffic. Below the top ten, most specialists are fighting over a few thousand visits a month.

2. Instagram followers don’t predict who skiers look for. We have both figures for 27 operators, and they barely line up. WeSki has about 20,000 Instagram followers and 19,100 search visits a month. Iglu Ski has 5,238 followers and 57,900 visits, three times the search demand with a quarter of the following. If you’re a ski business deciding where to spend marketing time, search demand is the better guide to bookings.

3. Trust signals are patchy. On 8 October 2026, 32 of the 50 operators had a scored Trustpilot profile. Four had a profile with no reviews, and 14 had no profile we could match. For a purchase that costs thousands of pounds and is booked months ahead, that’s a lot of operators asking skiers to trust them blind.

More skiers now ask ChatGPT or Google “which ski company should I book with”. AI answers lean on the same signals above: how often a brand is mentioned, whether its reviews can be read, whether its pages answer the question. The big operators win by default. Smaller specialists only get named if they publish pages that answer specific questions (family chalets in Les Gets, say) and get mentioned on the guides AI reads.
